VOCset contrives a place where the dancers explore and repattern their relationship with the sound, the voice and the images.
The movement, acting as a drawing pencil, sketches a space of increasing tension, in which the performers challenge each other by opposing instinctive jolts with long pauses, and seem to be following a code of secret signs. The voice has a key role in the development of the performance: it is the essential character that brings together the interpreters’ monosyllables and molds their broken speeches into meaningful sentences. Words become music and phrases become choreography.
The performers change the order of things within a receptive and bending architecture in order to give life to new bonds between languages. The performance is focused on investigating the accessibility and potential of interactive design that, by elaborating the voice, turns it to dress in words and phrases the dancers’ bodies and the space’s surfaces.
