Performance
The interactive performance wants to explore the potential of industrial robotic technology applied to the choreography and the relationship between dancers and robots. A robotic arm equipped with eye-view kinect camera and a video projector, is used to create an audiovisuals dialogue between dancers and the automa. The close connection between movements, sounds and images – projected on the bodies and on the surrounding environment – combined with the installative design of the work determine a new perspective a new approach to the performance. The experimental assumptions considered for this experimental production are defined around the following aspects (to be confirmed): create a hybrid choreography that integrates dancers and robot / projecting the texture-arm clothes on the bodies of the dancers, on the robotic arm and on the surrounding space / create an augmented reality environment around (internal and external) of the body.
In the performance, the distinction between the natural and the artificial is most often asked and proposed, created and dissolved with the help of technology and the performer, experienced a close man-machine relationship. This separation (between nature and artifice, and between man and machine) that must be overcome towards the construction of an environment that can respond not mechanically stress the performer.
