MUSA
multimedia dance performance
Designed for the Milano Incontra la Grecia festival, co-producer of the project, in collaboration with the Greek ensemble Latinitas Nostra, MUSA is inspired by the figure of Barbara Strozzi, a charismatic Baroque composer.
The Ariella Vidach – AiEP interactive dance company pays tribute to her. This musician was able to officially get her art recognized in a male-dominated society.
In MUSA, Ariella Vidach focuses her research on the gestures and physicality of the instrumentalists on stage. On stage, five performers interact to create two parallel dimensions that tell one about the artist, the other her music. The set, designed by Claudio Prati, produces a contrast between reality and image, to give light to new spatialities, meanings, energies.
