VOCset
performance
VOCset creates an environment within which dancers explore and reinvent their relationship with sound, voice and images.
The movement builds an environment in growing tension where the performers challenge each other by counterpointing instinctive impulses at long intervals, through a code of signs whose meaning seems to follow secret patterns. The voice plays a key role in the dramaturgical development of the show. Words become music and speeches become choreographed.
The performers bring the order of things into play to create new synergies between languages. The performance will focus research on interactive design which, through the processing of the voice, will physically dress the dancers’ bodies and surfaces in space with letters and phrases.
